For the past few weeks, I have been reaching out to multiple radiologists in hopes of getting an interview, and have successfully gotten one planned over Thanksgiving break! The interview was done today and had gone much smoother than expected although I was nervous and worried, as I was speaking with a doctor for the first time. Throughout the interview, I learned lots of interesting new information about radiology from Dr. Thropp, such as why he chose his career, his day-to-day work life, and his takes on radiology (such as relations to AI). Throughout the past weeks, I have also begun to realize the depth of my topic and believe that going a little bit broader but being correct about the information I plan to share is more important than striving for what is the most detailed and intricate. This would only make it harder for others not interested/not studying my topic harder to understand the research I have done. This is why I am considering my original work to create a literature review not only covering just the visceral adiposity index but also including other radiographic features in type 2 diabetes. This could include evidence of stroke, ulcers on the feet, etc.
