From previous assessments I have mentioned that I would like to do research on lines and tubes from a perspective more related to radiology now. The accurate place and management of different medical lines and tubes are fundamental to patient care, especially when many of these patients are critically ill. When checking for the positioning of tubes and lines, chest radiographs play a pivotal role, to not only verify they are correctly positioned but also prevent future potential complications. I had found an article from Radiopaedia.org that provides a comprehensive review of various lines and tubes that are commonly used. Of course these are not all of the different types, but for each of the lines and tubes described, it gives details to their correct placements and other associated complications. Through chest radiographs, serving as an indispensable tool in this process, as well as one many people may think of when coming up with the baselines of radiology. Through x-rays of tubes and lines, healthcare professionals are enabled to confirm correct positions and address any possible malpositions. The detailed information provided in this article from radiopaedia served as a valuable resource for both students interested in the topic as well as others searching from mere curiosity.
